Influencers and Entertainment Industry Professionals
If entertainment is your business, then you need an attorney with experience and expertise in general corporate contracting, employment, and intellectual property matters, in addition to a depth of knowledge specific to the entertainment industry. K. Nugent Law is pleased to provide corporate and talent-side representation across a breadth of matters in the film/television, music, modeling, sports, photography/art, and publishing industries. Representative matters include sponsorship, publicity, and endorsement deals; social media/influencer agreements; production contracts; booking agency and talent management contracts; work-for-hire agreements; option and purchase agreements; and performance contracts, among others. We also have been engaged as special counsel to festivals and community events.
Social Media Influencers
Most of our entertainment law services are billed at our standard hourly rates. For social media influencers, however, we offer a basic package of contracts for a flat fee of $495.
The basic Influencer Package includes:
- Nondisclosure & Intellectual Property Protection Agreement
- Waiver & Release of Claims
- Disclaimer (for inclusion on any materials or emails)
Your documents will be specially customized to account for your target audience and the goods, services, and products you sell directly to clients. This is highly recommended (at minimum, as a starting point) for influencers who create and sell e-books, guides, programs, coaching services, online course, and other digital products and services, in any one or more of the following industries: health, nutrition, dieting, physical fitness, exercise, sports training, mental health, wellness, supplements, traditional medicine, alternative medicine, holistic practices, marriage counseling, relationship counseling, and financial, tax, or investment advice.
At our standard rates, we also advise influencers as to entity creation and structuring for asset and liability protection purposes; drafting and negotiating influencer agreements and other promotional and sponsorship arrangements; understanding what you must do to comply with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations that apply to influencers and sponsored posts; understanding what requirements come with signing a legally binding contract with a brand, and whether it is worth it in pursuit of your long-term goals; and how trademark, copyright, and other intellectual property laws apply to you and your posts.
Please reach out to us at the “Contact” page to arrange a free consultation and discuss how we can help you build your entertainment business or career.
